My travel partner for my big California trip had arranged with Vancouver friends to celebrate her 50th birthday at Desert Hearts.
Travel – Getting There
I had already come down from the island for the Los Angeles regional Burning Man event.
Nature
I didn’t see much nature while I was at Desert Hearts. It’s held on a hilltop on a reservation. There were many trees.
Art
The stage was the most beautiful one I’ve ever seen. One day I even spied a mermaid behind it.
These stilt walkers were awesome.
I wanted a pair of heart shaped sunglasses like many people were wearing but I waited too late to go looking for them.
Travel – Homeward Bound
This trip was a sub-set of a 5 week exploration of the American south-western deserts.
Summary
I would have gone back this year but there was a two week gap between BEquinox and Desert Hearts. I connected well with the people in the neighbouring RVs and left having found new friends – Ajay, Dee, and Billy.
